Meet the Brown Family

Dave and Mary Brown were married in 2010, the second marriage for each. Shortly afterwards, Dave’s two sons, Alec and Colin, were diagnosed with a rare disease. Friedreich’s Ataxia affects about one in every 50,000 people, causing damage to the spinal cord, heart and brain and typically leading to loss of mobility five years after being diagnosed. Life expectancy is about 25 years. Seven years ago, Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer. In January 2019, Alec died as a result of injuries suffered in a van accident three months earlier. He had recently turned 22. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
